Through negotiation on Enbloc’s Partnership scheme, the contract for Avecia’s new modular bulk fill facility was a welcome challenge for Enbloc. Avecia required an extension to their ABC2000 plant to match visually both internally and externally. The brief included a preference for the extension to be modular and, therefore, built and fitted-out off site; Enbloc designed a painted steel module to match the existing grey facades.
The unit was fitted-out off-site (up to 70% complete) meaning on-site works were quickly finished once hook-ups were completed. The unit houses a Grade C bulk fill room and Grade D materials air locks with rapid roller doors and personnel changes both in and out of the main room, along with a plant area at one end.
